Event details

Copper Mountain Resort becomes the base for a two-day cycling fundraiser each July, as multiple supported routes for different ability levels wind through Summit and Eagle county mountain scenery with aid stations and team camaraderie along the way. Aid stations along each route welcome spectators as well as riders, making them a natural stop for a family following along.

Family-friendly route options alongside more demanding distances make this an approachable cycling weekend for households with riders of different experience levels, since everyone can choose a distance suited to their own comfort rather than forcing one pace on the whole group.

Two days of riding from a resort base create direct lodging demand at Copper and nearby towns during the event. Reserve a Stay well ahead of the ride, pack layers for cool mountain mornings that warm quickly, and add Dillon Reservoir or Vail Pass to extend the visit beyond the two riding days. It is a genuinely inclusive charity ride built for mixed-ability families supporting a good cause together. Afternoon mountain storms build quickly in July, so pack rain gear regardless of how clear the morning looks.
