Downtown parade leads to Lake Sammamish night fireworks
Issaquah blends a lively downtown parade and picnic atmosphere with after-dark fireworks over Lake Sammamish, making it ideal for Eastside outdoor holiday plans.
Event details
Celebrate Independence Day with Issaquah’s beloved Down Home 4th of July festivities, then cap off the evening with the Illuminating Hope Fireworks Show over South Lake Sammamish. Hosted by the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and KLD Real Estate Group, this annual community celebration raises funds to support youth nutrition programs serving local families.
After enjoying the downtown parade and family-friendly activities in Issaquah, head to Vasa Park Resort on the western shore of Lake Sammamish for an evening of lakeside fun. Beginning at 6:00 PM, Vasa Park offers free admission (capacity permitting) with food trucks, face painting, inflatables, glow sticks, music, playgrounds, sports courts, and space to enjoy a picnic before the fireworks begin.
At 10:00 PM, a spectacular fireworks display launches from a barge on South Lake Sammamish between Vasa Park and Lake Sammamish State Park, creating one of the Eastside’s most memorable Fourth of July traditions.
Important: The fireworks event is not held at Lake Sammamish State Park. The State Park is closed to visitors for the event, and guests will not be permitted to enter. Official event activities and public viewing are hosted at Vasa Park Resort, or visitors may enjoy the show from boats or other public viewing locations around the southern end of Lake Sammamish.
Donations to the Illuminating Hope campaign help provide nutritious meals and food assistance for children throughout the Issaquah community, making this celebration both festive and meaningful.
