Tahoe’s silliest spring ski jump spectacle
Watch homemade ski dummies fly at Diamond Peak’s Dummy Downhill in Incline Village on April 4, 2026, with sweeping Lake Tahoe views.
Event details
The Dummy Downhill is Lake Tahoe springtime at its most playful: teams build ridiculous, human-sized “dummies,” strap them to skis or boards, and send them flying off Diamond Peak’s jump while the crowd votes for creativity and carnage. It is a classic spectator day, and the views over the blue water of Tahoe make the whole hillside feel like a grandstand.
Plan a full family weekend in Incline Village. Hit the East Shore Trail in the morning, picnic at nearby Sand Harbor, then head up to the resort for laughs and photos. Bring layers, sunglasses, and a thermos, because April can swing from sun to snow in a single afternoon.
