What is Fish For A Cure?
Fish For A Cure (F4AC) is a vibrant annual fishing tournament and fundraising event designed to support the Cancer Survivorship Program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute. This exciting event not only brings together fishing enthusiasts but also unites the community in a common cause: fighting cancer.

When and Where Does the Tournament Take Place?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1, 2025, as the tournament kicks off at Safe Harbor Annapolis, conveniently located at 519 Chester Avenue in Annapolis, Maryland. Prior to the tournament, a Captain’s Meeting will be held on October 29, setting the stage for a thrilling day on the water. After the tournament ends, join us for the Shore Party from 5 to 9 p.m. This lively celebration features an array of food and beverages from multiple bars, a dance floor for some post-tournament fun, and the announcement of tournament winners along with the Paul C. Dettor Captain’s Challenge.

With a history showcasing strong community engagement—like the 58 boats and 123 anglers that participated in 2024—F4AC has raised over $1.1 million through nearly 2,700 individual donations, all directed to enhancing cancer care.
