A springtime feast of flavors, pours, and pairings
Enjoy food, fun, and local culture in Deadwood in 2026—pair it with Mount Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, and Custer State Park.
Event details
Forks, Corks and Kegs represents Deadwood’s most ambitious culinary event. Now entering its 13th year, the festival runs April 10 to 11, 2026 and delivers a two day progressive tasting experience that brings together regional chefs, winemakers, and craft brewers across multiple venues throughout town.
General admission tickets are priced at $125, while VIP passes at $225 include access to a private high end wine tasting, early entry to the Grand Tasting, and the new Smashed Grapes wine competition. This featured event includes representatives from J. Lohr, Duckhorn, Riboli, and Delicato. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or the Deadwood Mountain Grand Box Office at 605 559 1188, and they tend to sell quickly.
Friday tasting events
Friday begins with registration in the main lobby of Deadwood Mountain Grand starting at 2:00 PM. The evening continues with Wine Around Deadwood from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, where venues across town each host a different vineyard, with winemakers on site to discuss their wines and process.
From 7:00 to 9:00 PM, the Appetizer Crawl features bite sized dishes from popular restaurants including the Deadwood Social Club, Mavericks Steak and Cocktails above the Gold Dust Casino, and Legends Steakhouse at the Silverado Franklin.
Saturday highlights
Saturday’s Deadwood Dine Around runs from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and showcases local chefs’ best creations paired with regional beers. Participating breweries include Crow Peak Brewing Company from Spearfish, known for its 11th Hour IPA, and Sick N Twisted Brewery located in Deadwood’s Historic District.
The festival concludes with the Grand Tasting from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center. Guests can sample more than 100 varieties of beer and wine alongside a selection of hors d’oeuvres.
Your ticket includes a commemorative tasting glass, free trolley rides when wearing your festival lanyard, and access to all scheduled events. Open containers are permitted only within designated zones and only in official Deadwood Chamber cups provided during the festival.
Extending your stay
If you are extending your visit, the Black Hills offer excellent water recreation about 30 miles south. Pactola Lake and Sheridan Lake provide fishing, kayaking, and swimming beaches surrounded by pine covered shorelines, offering a refreshing contrast to the weekend’s tastings.
