Multi-Sport Racing Follows the Snake River in Idaho Falls
Triathlon, duathlon, and running options bring athletes to a riverfront course, pairing active competition with an easy eastern Idaho weekend.
Event details
Idaho Falls’ riverfront routes and Snake River Landing host a multisport festival built around choice: starting at 7 a.m. and wrapping by early afternoon, athletes can combine swimming, cycling and running into a full triathlon or duathlon, or enter a single-discipline event alongside friends and family tackling a different format on the same morning.
That flexibility is the festival’s defining feature. Rather than a single race format dictating who can participate, the event’s varied distances let a family split across triathlon, duathlon and standalone running or cycling events while still sharing the same riverfront course and finish line.
Morning check-in and the range of distances make Idaho Falls a natural base for clubs and families supporting several participants across different events. Between races, the Idaho Falls River Walk offers an easy stroll along the same river the course follows, Ririe Reservoir rewards an afternoon on the water, and Yellowstone Bear World gives younger family members a wildlife detour before the group heads home. Free spectator access along most of the course makes it simple to follow more than one racer at a time.
