Obstacle Racers Challenge North Shore Jungle and Ridges
Sprint, Super, Beast, Ultra and kids races cross Dillingham Ranch terrain where jungle trails, steep ridges and beaches reward an overnight stay.
Event details
Hawaiʻi Spartan Trifecta Weekend uses Dillingham Ranch’s open fields, groves, jungle single-track, and high ridgelines for a demanding set of obstacle races that test strength and endurance against some of the North Shore’s most rugged inland terrain. Coastal views from the higher sections of the course soften what is otherwise a deliberately punishing set of obstacles.
The Trifecta format, multiple race distances across the same weekend, appeals to obstacle racing’s more dedicated competitors, who often attempt more than one distance to earn the series’ full completion status. Casual participants can choose a single shorter race without feeling like they’re missing the weekend’s main event, since every distance shares the same demanding stretch of ranch terrain.
Multiple race formats across two days make North Shore lodging practical for both athletes and their supporters, particularly given the ranch’s distance from Honolulu’s urban core. Nearby beaches, the town of Haleʻiwa, and additional mountain trails turn the competition into a full adventure weekend rather than a single day’s obstacle course, with plenty of downtime built into the schedule for sore muscles to recover.
