Escape to the Forest of Arden in Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s joyful new production of As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s most beloved romantic comedies.
After being forced into exile, Rosalind and her cousin Celia disguise themselves and journey into the Forest of Arden, where mistaken identities, witty banter, unlikely romances, and unforgettable characters create one of Shakespeare’s most enchanting adventures. Filled with humor, heart, and some of the playwright’s most famous lines—including “All the world’s a stage”—As You Like It remains a timeless celebration of reinvention and human connection.
The production takes place at the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center, Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s spectacular new permanent home in Garrison, New York. Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, the open-air theater offers sweeping views of the Hudson Highlands while providing an intimate setting for world-class live performance. The venue replaces the company’s longtime performances at Boscobel, where productions are no longer held.
