The Whataburger Bassmaster Elite at Lake Hartwell is an exhilarating annual fishing tournament held at the stunning Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina. Each year, this prestigious event gathers the finest professional anglers from across the nation, all eager to showcase their skills on one of the Southeast’s most renowned fishing locations, celebrated for its picturesque scenery and plentiful spotted bass. The 2025 tournament will take place from April 24 to 27, with daily takeoffs scheduled for 7 a.m. and weigh-ins at 3 p.m. at Green Pond Landing.

What Can You Expect at the Tournament?
Families can look forward to a vibrant, free expo happening on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. This event will feature exciting exhibits from top sponsors and partners in the fishing community, such as Whataburger, Toyota, and Bass Pro Shops. Whether you’re interested in gear or looking to try out demo rides with Skeeter/Yamaha and Ranger/Nitro/Mercury, there’s something for everyone. You can also shop for official Bassmaster merchandise and explore offerings from local food vendors.

What Special Events Are Planned?
Mark your calendar for Military and First Responder Appreciation Day on Saturday, where the first 100 attendees with military ID can receive free Bassmaster hats. On Sunday, we celebrate B.A.S.S. Member Appreciation Day, giving away free hats to the first 100 members. Additionally, females interested in fishing can take part in a special BassmastHER workshop on Saturday, April 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This workshop aims to foster networking and improve skills among women anglers, creating a welcoming environment for all participants.
