On Monday, September 1, 2025, up to 65,000 participants walk the five-mile span of the Mackinac Bridge from St. Ignace to Mackinaw City. The annual Bridge Walk opens with a sunrise ceremony and live band on the deck. Free shuttle service returns walkers. Commemorative medals are awarded at the finish line. No vehicular traffic is allowed during the event, making the walk a unique statewide tradition.
