Event details
The Memorial Day Weekend Arts & Craft Show returns to Shoreline Park in Tawas City on May 23 and 24, 2026, bringing hand-selected work from regional makers to the Lake Huron waterfront. You shop with an open view across the bay, moving through booths stocked with handcrafted goods that range from home decor to wearable accessories.
Plan to spend time both in the aisles and along the water’s edge. You can expect a strong mix of ceramics, textiles, and woodworking, plus small-batch items that travel well as gifts. We like to pace the day, browse a section of vendors, then step out to the shoreline for a quick reset before continuing.
Go early on Saturday for the widest selection before the heaviest traffic. Admission is free, and the show runs outdoors rain or shine, so wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a reusable tote, and pack a light jacket for lake breezes. Hours are Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Public parking is available in lots around Shoreline Park and on nearby downtown side streets, and leashed pets are generally allowed, though booth aisles can tighten at peak times.
For food, you are a short walk from downtown Tawas City restaurants and cafes. If you are staying overnight, book along the Lake Huron shoreline or near Tawas Point, where small motels and lakefront cottage rentals keep you close to the water; you can also check regional vacation homes through Lake.com. If the park feels busy, take a brief break on the Tawas City pier for open water views.
