Event details

The Memorial Weekend Craft Festival at Mill Falls Marketplace opens the summer season in Meredith, New Hampshire, with three days of juried work in a waterfront setting. You will shop the historic Mill Falls complex directly across from the Meredith Town Docks on Lake Winnipesaukee, moving easily between the marketplace and the village’s brick pathways.

Expect more than 70 artisans showing fine art, sculpture, glasswork, and handcrafted jewelry, alongside specialty foods and American-made goods. You can browse organic herb blends, small-batch maple syrup, custom leather pieces, and functional pottery, then step into permanent boutiques or take a table at a nearby waterfront restaurant. Many of us plan the day as a loop: festival first, then the Meredith Sculpture Walk, followed by a midday cruise on the lake.

Admission is free for all ages, and arriving at the 10:00 AM opening gives you the best shot at parking in municipal lots or near the marketplace. Bring a reusable tote, wear comfortable walking shoes for the boardwalk and brick inclines, and carry a little cash for smaller food items, even though most vendors take cards. If the pathways tighten during peak afternoon hours, walk down to Hesky Park for a quieter view of the harbor.

The show runs rain or shine, with most booths under individual tents, and public restrooms are available inside the Mill Falls Marketplace buildings. It is pet friendly for well-behaved dogs on leashes, though the vendor rows can feel narrow when crowds build. For the weekend, you can stay close at the Inns at Mill Falls, or base yourself in a Lakes Region rental or a cabin near Center Harbor, with additional options available through Lake.com; pack a light jacket for the lake breeze and high-SPF sun protection for outdoor browsing.
