Event details

Join us for the Minnesota Tournament Trail at Lake of the Woods, a two-day fishing adventure on August 8 and 9, 2026, in Baudette, Minnesota. This event invites anglers of all ages and skill levels to experience the thrill of walleye fishing in one of Minnesota’s most picturesque settings. Lake of the Woods, with its expansive waters and abundant fish populations, offers a perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories with family and friends.

The tournament features a catch-photo-release format, promoting sustainable fishing practices that protect our aquatic ecosystems. Participants will receive an official MTT measuring stick and an SD card during boat inspection, allowing them to photograph their catches and release them back into the lake, especially those within the 19.5″–28″ slot limit. This practice not only enhances your fishing experience but also ensures fish populations remain vibrant. The format is designed for two-person teams, with each day operating as a separate tournament featuring unique formats and prize opportunities.

The MTT tournament is co-hosted by River Bend Resort, conveniently located near the Wheeler’s Point public access at the mouth of the Rainy River. As you compete, you’ll have the chance to win a variety of prizes, including the grand prize of a brand-new Ranger Boat. This event is not just about competition; it represents a commitment to well-organized, enjoyable experiences that promote sustainable fishing practices. If you love walleye fishing, marking the MTT on your calendar will ensure you don’t miss out on this must-attend event.
