Spend a crisp spring Saturday roaming the Lake Iowa Nature Center, where hands-on displays and simple, family activities make it easy to turn curiosity into a mini adventure. You can browse the center at your own pace, then step outside for shoreline views and easy trails through woods and prairie at Lake Iowa Park.
Arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and plan to linger for the day’s theme and the 1 p.m. program. Pack a picnic, watch for early returning songbirds, and finish with a lakeside loop before heading home.
