OKC’s Paseo fills with art, music, and eats
Three days of juried art, live stages, and neighborhood bites in the Paseo Arts District for Memorial Day weekend wandering.
Event details
Every Memorial Day weekend, the Paseo Arts Festival turns Oklahoma City’s Paseo Arts District, just north of downtown, into a walkable gallery of more than 80 juried artists. You’ll move between Spanish Revival storefronts and outdoor booths featuring ceramics, paintings, jewelry, and other collectible work, with plenty of chances to meet the makers and buy originals. The festival is the primary fundraiser for the Paseo Arts Association, and you feel that community focus in the easy, open-to-all layout.
Plan on a lively, social day that easily stretches into the evening. Live music from more than 50 performers plays across multiple stages, and the sets typically run until 10:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. When you want a break from browsing, you can refuel at the dedicated food court, where recent favorites have included Jola’s Kitchen and Wondervan Pops, alongside a wider mix from BBQ to international options.
A few practical moves will make your visit smoother. Arrive early on Saturday to shop before the biggest afternoon crowds, and wear comfortable shoes since the entire district is outdoors. Skip the parking hunt by using the free shuttle from First Presbyterian Church (1001 NW 25th St, near NW 25th and Walker). Bring a reusable water bottle, keep pets leashed, and remember only service animals are permitted on the shuttle. Light rain usually does not stop the festival, but you should check local social channels if severe weather is possible.
If you are visiting with kids, head to the corner of NW 29th Street and Paseo Drive for free children’s activities like face painting and hands-on projects. For an overnight stay, look at boutique hotels downtown or rentals near the district, or book a vacation rental through Lake.com if you prefer lodging near the water outside the city center.
