Event details

For five nights each June, the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa hosts one of professional rodeo’s most storied stops. The Snake River Stampede pairs timed events and roughstock competition with a production polish that draws national-caliber cowboys and cowgirls to one of Idaho’s largest arenas.

What separates the Stampede from a typical county rodeo is its consistency: five consecutive evening performances, running mid-June from Tuesday through Saturday, mean visitors can pick any night of the week and still catch full fields, tight competition and the pageantry that has made this a fixture of the professional circuit for generations. Grandstand seating puts families close enough to feel the dust from the chutes, and tickets starting around $25 keep a multi-night visit within reach.

A multi-night schedule naturally extends a Treasure Valley stay. Between performances, Lake Lowell offers calm-water paddling and birdwatching, the Boise River Greenbelt provides an easy bike ride for restless kids, and the Sunnyslope Wine Trail rewards the adults with an afternoon of tasting rooms. With demand for rooms across Nampa, Meridian and Boise rising through the week, reserving lodging before the gates open is the smarter play.
