Event details

Northern Iowa’s Lake Cornelia is a lovely place to welcome spring, especially when the day’s lesson ends with something sweet. This Syrup Tapping program covers the basics of tapping trees in the Midwest, then moves from how-to to tasting, with a maple taffy finale that kids love.

Come early for a lakeside walk and stay after to explore the park’s shoreline and campground area. It’s an easy, family-friendly way to pair outdoor time with a little food science and local tradition.
