Pack your picnic blanket and head to Bluewater Park on July 25 and 26, 2026, where the Bruce Peninsula’s rolling lavender fields come alive for this charming free festival.
You’ll find over 30 artisan vendors, live music from Rob and Josh Ritchie at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day, and plenty of handcrafted lavender products to fill your bags. The park opens at 9 a.m., and arriving early gives you the best parking and first pick of the vendor stalls.
Kids will love the playground and splash pad while you browse, and the whole family can cool off at the sandy beach along Colpoy’s Bay.
After you’ve soaked up the festival vibes, the waterfront calls. Colpoy’s Bay offers kayak rentals at Wiarton Marina, shallow shipwrecks perfect for snorkeling, and views of the Niagara Escarpment cliffs rising above the harbor.
For lunch, grab a seat on the patio at Dockside Willie’s Bar and Grill, operating since approximately 2017, which sits right inside Bluewater Park overlooking the bay. If you’re craving something heartier, The Silo Wiarton, opened 2023, serves bison burgers and exotic sausages just up Berford Street.
Make a weekend of it by booking a lakefront cottage on Colpoy’s Bay through Lake.com or local rental agencies, so you can wake up to Georgian Bay sunrises and end your evenings around a fire pit. Sauble Beach, one of Canada’s longest freshwater beaches, is only a 20-minute drive north if you want a full day on the sand.
This is a festival where the pace is slow, the lavender is fragrant, and the water is always within reach.
