About Interhome

Interhome is a trusted global vacation rental partner that manages professionally serviced holiday homes and apartments across Europe and beyond. When you book an Interhome property through Lake.com, your reservation and cancellation terms are governed by Interhome AG (HHD AG, Switzerland).

This policy helps you understand what happens if you need to cancel your Interhome booking and what refund amounts may apply.

Cancellation Fees and Refunds

Interhome uses a time-based cancellation structure, where refund amounts decrease closer to your check-in date.

💡 Example: If you cancel 35 days before your arrival date, Interhome will retain 50% of your total booking price and refund the remaining 50%.

Refunds, when applicable, are typically processed by Lake.com within 14 days of your cancellation being confirmed.

Important to Know

  • Property-specific terms: Some Interhome listings may have unique or stricter cancellation policies. Always review the Cancellation Policy section on the property details page before booking.
  • Non-refundable offers: Certain discounted or promotional rates are non-refundable once confirmed.
  • Late or missed payments: If your payment is not received by the due date, Interhome may cancel the booking after sending a reminder and charge standard withdrawal costs.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your Interhome booking in one of the following ways:

  1. Through your Lake.com account
    • Go to Bookings → Manage Booking → Cancel Booking
    • Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation
  2. By calling Lake.com directly

Once your cancellation is processed, you’ll receive:

  • A cancellation confirmation (invoice or credit note)
  • Details of any applicable cancellation fees
  • Estimated refund timeline

Refund Process

If you’re eligible for a refund:

  • Lake.com will issue it to your original payment method
  • You’ll receive an email once your refund is complete

FAQs

Does this policy apply to all Lake.com properties?
No. It only applies to properties hosted by Interhome, identified by the Interhome logo under the host name.

What if I booked a non-refundable rate?
Non-refundable bookings cannot be canceled for a refund. You may still contact Lake.com Support to discuss options.

Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
Yes — Interhome allows you to nominate a replacement guest at least 7 days before arrival, subject to approval and a small rebooking fee.

What happens if I miss my payment deadline?
If payment isn’t received by the due date, Interhome may withdraw from the contract and apply standard cancellation fees.
