Bathurst Marina Inc. is a non-profit organization responsible for running the marina’s operations as well as ensuring its longevity and success for the betterment of the entire Chaleur region. During the summer season, the organization operates the member and visitor berths, boat ramp, full service campground and currently leases the restaurant/bar/patio area. The Bathurst Marina is situated at the mouth of the Bay of Chaleur on the southwest side of Youghall Beach within the Bathurst city limits on the Bathurst Harbour. From this location, boaters can access the marina from the Bathurst harbour or the Bay of Chaleur. This ideal location allows tourist and locals to experience the natural beauty of the region either by boat or land. The Bathurst Marina opened in 1985 at its present location. The marina consists of 100 berths, boat ramp, restaurant and patio, fueling station, garage and parking lot. During the early years of operation, the marina use was restricted to the members and their guest. Various improvements and additions have been completed at the marina since its inception including the addition of a full service campground. During the later half of the 1990’s the marina rules were relaxed and the property was opened to the public. Since that time the Bathurst Marina has become a prime destination for locals and tourists alike due to its location next to Youghall beach, community events held at the premise, fishing excursions, boat tours, bar and restaurant services and the natural beauty and views of the Bathurst Harbor to name a few. A trip to Bathurst during the summer months is not complete without a trip to the Bathurst Marina.
