Blaine Harbor, situated at 235 Marine Drive in Blaine, Washington, is a marina steeped in a rich maritime history. Originally developed in the late 1880s by brothers John and James Milhollin, the E Street Wharf was constructed from logs cleared from the surrounding land, marking the beginning of Blaine’s rapid waterfront growth. This era saw the town flourish with logging, fishing, and canning industries, with the first cannery opening in nearby Semiahmoo in 1882. Today, the wharf has evolved into Blaine Harbor, a modern marina that honors its past while catering to contemporary luxury. The harbor, now located on what is known as Marine Drive, continues to be a bustling hub, hosting hundreds of sailboats and yachts. Its historic significance is palpable, from the remnants of the old logging sites to the remnants of the Mosquito Fleet that once delivered mail and supplies. Blaine Harbor stands as a testament to the town’s enduring legacy as a coastal gem, blending historical depth with modern amenities.
