C. Springer Welding Works & Marina, situated at 5 Broadway in Albany, New York, has been a stalwart presence on the city’s waterfront since 1907. Founded by Charles Springer, a German immigrant, this marina has a rich history that spans over a century. After Springer’s unexpected passing, the marina was taken over by Louis A. Rizzo, followed by his son Louis V. Rizzo, ensuring a continuity of family leadership.

Today, the marina offers more than 50 boat slips and a boat launch, catering to the needs of seasonal and transient boaters alike. It stands as the first marina on Albany’s waterfront since the Albany Yacht Club relocated to the Rensselaer side of the river in the 1960s.
