Tucked into the southern edge of scenic Malletts Bay in Colchester, Vermont, Champlain Marina offers a welcoming, laid-back retreat for summer-long stays or short-term visits on Lake Champlain. Established in 1945 by Ken Lonergan and relocated in 1946 to its current protected cove, the marina now occupies the site of a former apple orchard—sheltered on three sides and rich in nautical history.

Champlain Marina features over 100 slips for sailboats and powerboats, with a robust piling dock system that provides safe, stable mooring. The facility operates seasonally from May through October, with yard access available year-round for winter storage and maintenance. Boats up to 25 tons and 16 feet in beam can be hauled, with services including mast stepping, keel removal, shrink wrapping, and more. The marina caters to a wide range of vessels, from Hunter and Beneteau sailboats to Grady-White and Sea Ray powerboats.

A true DIY yard, owners are welcome to work on their boats or hire contractors of their choosing. Families, fishing crews, and weekenders alike return year after year for the marina’s laid-back charm and personalized service. Nearby, you’ll find local favorites like Rozzi’s Lakeshore Tavern and Mazza’s Farm Market, making Champlain Marina a warm, authentic base for lake life.
