Coaster's Harbor Navy Yacht Club

CHNYC acts as the advocate for patrons of the Newport Naval Station Marina at Coasters Harbor and is organized to promote the enjoyment of recreational and competitive boating and sailing. We promote instruction and training in the skills necessary for patrons to have safe enjoyment. This is facilitated by our members volunteering to conduct training, organizing cruising, organizing social functions and being active in promoting both power and sail boating.We are 200 of the most passionate folks in Newport when it comes to sailing and power boating with the Navy community. Members are active duty personnel from all services, veterans, retired or government civilians and their families. More than half of us own a boat and the rest use the 25 boats available for rent at the marina.
