Columbia Sailing Club

The Columbia Sailing Club, situated on the expansive Lake Murray in South Carolina, has been a beacon for sailing enthusiasts since its founding in 1957. The club’s origins date back to gatherings on the back porch of Martin Jones’ home, where the first regatta was organized, and it has since grown to include a well-protected marina with 100 berths for sailboats, four launching ramps, and a gin pole.

Lake Murray, a man-made lake spanning 78 square miles with 520 miles of shoreline, provides a stunning backdrop for sailing activities. The club’s facilities, including a beautiful clubhouse and a youth clubhouse, reflect its commitment to promoting the sport of sail boating through educational programs, regattas, and race management training.
