Courageous Sailing Center

At the heart of Boston’s historic Charlestown Navy Yard, the Courageous Sailing Center stands as a testament to the city’s maritime heritage and its commitment to community and sailing. Located at One First Avenue (Pier 4), this esteemed facility has been connecting Boston with its harbor since 1987. Founded by South Boston sailing enthusiast Harry McDonough, the center was named after the two-time America’s Cup winner Courageous, a legendary 12-Meter yacht that once called this pier home.
