We are a locally operated full-service marina with 81 deep water slips and waterfront campground with 118 sites located on the naturally protected Carthagena Creek just off the mouth of the St. Mary’s River. Make for the whistle buoy RW ‘A’ just southwest of Point Lookout, MD (approx 38:01N 076:21W). Proceed about 6 nm on course 322M to the RG ‘SM’ buoy, then steer due north. You should be able to see the green day markers marking the channel into Carthagena Creek ahead on the port side. Carthagena Creek is really hard to see on approach. Following the channel up the St Mary’s River, look hard to port for the green day markers. Reported June 2023: There is a growing shoal on approach to Dennis Point marina – keep marker R4 a good distance to avoid visible sandbar to your starboard. It drops to 8+ feet quickly. The western side is shoaling and closer to the center of the channel than indicated
