Special race rules requirements. The first requirement is “crew color”. Each boat must select a single color for its crew attire – such as red, green, orange, blue, pink, white, black, etc. The boat with the crew displaying the most single color will win a gift certificate to H&H. Possible time penalties for boats lacking adherence to the Mid-Summer Race attire requirement. At the Skippers meeting, there will be additional special race rules declared. If the weather requires rescheduling, the race date will be July 19th.The post-race social is BTS (bring to share). Asking the skippers and crews to bring hors d’oeuvres, snacks, desert, or drink/cocktail to share. Friends and families are welcome.The Annual Banquet was held on January 21st. It was a fantastic event as the Club members enjoyed a winter night with their EYC friends. The location was the Horizon Sky Room located at the Island Resort. The scenic view from the 12th floor added to the enjoyment.Thanks to Commodore Mark Meyer for directing the meeting and presentations. Bob Yin, along with Michael Manning and Josh Anthony, presented an engaging program on the challenges, complexity, and thrill of participating in the 2022 J-80 North American & World Championship held in Newport, RI.Sue Harris received the 2022 Yachtsman of the Year honors for her support of the EYC, serving as the Club Secretary, and serving as an ambassador locally and during her many travels. Congratulations to Bob Yin and the crew of Dolce, our 2022 Sailor of the Year, for representing the EYC during the 2022 J-80 NA’s and World’s. Way to go!
