Hans Pedersen And Sons

Hans Pedersen and Sons was started by the late Hans Pedersen in 1934 shortly after his immigration from his native Denmark. This establishment is family-owned and operated in Keyport, NJ. Hans, aided by his sons Erik and Ivan, built commercial and luxury Jersey Sea Skiffs until his death in 1959. His sons continued their father’s tradition of building wooden boats after he died. In 1962, they moved their operations to their current location where they have built boats ranging in size from 20 to 48 feet. Now, in addition to building boats they operate a full service marina.In 1981, Erik retired and Ivan continued his wooden boat building with the help of his children. In 1995, Ivan completed his last wooden boat and then concentrated on repairs. Upon Ivan’s death in 2005, the company was taken over by his children. They prided themselves in their Grandfather’s and Father’s tradition of honest dealings and service to customers.
