Originally built c. 1890, the “Boathouse” began as a family business and continues to keep a family-oriented atmosphere, boasting one of the best terrace views in the region.Purchased by the Moar family in 1980, what was then a rustic boat shack has been transformed into a tropical escape by Gerry Moar and his three daughters. Now Gerry and his youngest daughter Jaime are the duo that run what is known as simply ‘The Marina’ together. Gerry takes care of the seasonal slips for boats, the gas bar, and basically everything boat and maintenance related while Jaime manages the restaurant bar with an amazing team by her side.Just over an hour’s drive from Montreal, you can step onto the deck of Marina Knowlton and be instantly transported to a tranquil tropical escape.
