Milton Yacht Club is located in Milton, Massachusetts, and was chartered in 1902 to promote yachting sports and the study of nautical sciences. MYC has continuously served the residents of Milton and surrounding communities for over a century by providing water access to the Neponset River, Boston Harbor, and beyond. The Club believes that everyone has a right to access and enjoy the River. The Club maintains the Milton Town Landing where the general public can launch kayaks, canoes and small boats, fish for stripers and smelts, or just enjoy the natural beauty of the Neponset River. The Club supports the Milton Harbormaster in maintaining moorings and navigational aids in the Neponset River marine estuary.Steeped in the tradition of a workingman’s club, MYC has an active boat yard where members maintain their vessels, including several handmade wooden boats, continuing a tradition of almost 400 years of marine use on the Neponset River of Massachusetts. Boats are launched and hauled on the historic marine railway. Members are active in the community and in protecting and preserving the Neponset River.
