Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Outstation - Garden Bay

The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) has grown from its humble beginnings at the northern tip of Cardero into one of Canada’s most prestigious year-round yachting institutions. With over 5,000 members, RVYC operates as a full-service club with two stunning home ports—Jericho and Coal Harbour—and seven offshore outstations along the British Columbia coast.

The Jericho home port, nestled in the upscale Point Grey neighborhood, provides easy access to English Bay and features extensive marina facilities, a grand clubhouse, and two dining venues including the scenic Star & Dragon patio. The marina accommodates a wide range of vessels—up to 100 feet—including Beneteau sailboats, Grand Banks trawlers, and Princess Yachts. Coal Harbour, located at the edge of Stanley Park and downtown Vancouver, is home to the Mermaid Inn, a beloved floating restaurant open daily for breakfast and lunch, offering a cozy spot with unbeatable views.

The club offers over 300 slips between its home ports, and members enjoy on-site fueling, haul-outs, marine services, and sailing programs for all ages. Social events, regattas, family gatherings, and waterfront weddings are frequent, creating a vibrant and inclusive community within Vancouver’s most scenic marina setting.
