Notes

From north or south on the Sakonnet River, turn towards the entrance to ‘The Cove’. Keep to port side of the channel, there is a sand bar on the stbd side. The channel can have small boat traffic entering and leaving the cove as well as dinghies going to the mooring field. There is a small tidal current that flows in and out of the cove. Turn to port into the entrance before the low bridge. There is an old outhouse with the name at the point of the break water. Immediately after entering turn to port and then stbd into the second aisle. There is no fuel dock. Arriving and leaving on a long sailboat can be interesting when the wind is blowing.The third aisle takes you to the haulout dock.Worth while calling ahead before entering to make sure that there is room at the dock, otherwise you could be doing some reversing. VHF Ch 13. Staff are very helpful with docking.Current reverses on the river, pay attention as it is strong when entering past the breakwater

Single loaded slips with a floating dock on both sides of your vessel make coming and going easier. 2 T-docks are able to accomodate larger vessels up to 65′. Also offer a catamaran slip, able to accomodate a beam of up to 26′. Extremely protected single loaded slips, offering water and power (both 30 and 50 amp service).
