The Sanibel Marina is nestled near the lighthouse on the southern tip of Sanibel Island on Florida’s pristine Gulf Coast. The Sanibel Marina’s ideal location grants boaters traveling up and down the Intracoastal Waterway direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Island’s gorgeous beaches as well as Florida’s fantastic fishing. The Sanibel Marina has 65 slips for boats up to 80’+. Transients and Yacht Club cruises are always welcome. Coming from the Gulf, mariners will want to follow their charts carefully as the waters to the south of the causeway bridge are shallow and close to the bridges shoals extend out some distance. Look for a cut just south of the condos which are south of the causeway. The marina lies just inside of the cut in the beach. Proceed in 12-feet or more. Private and charted R2 marker is no longer there. Underwater hazards lie both port and starboard so keep on line with the center of the cut. Proceed into the cut staying to starboard as channel is shoaling to port. It will be slow speed and the marina will be just to port. You will have 6-feet or more without tide help. It is reported the current can run as strong as 4 knots. Beware in a strong tail wind

Notes

Marina has grown up some over the past few years and slips have been added and now can accommodate around 60 boats of varying lengths and beams. Several T-heads are also available.
