Scituate is easy to enter and well protected. Recent dredging in 2003 provides depths of 12 feet in the outer channel, 10 feet in the inner channel, and 8 to 10 feet in the mooring areas. The many cliffs and beaches make it hard to see the harbor entrance. Look for the white Scituate light house off the north side of the channel. For night time approaches, you should look for the R&W Mo(A) east of the channel entrance. Also there is a red light at the end of the breakwater. Both are difficult to identify among the other lights on shore. Entering the harbor, turn right at nun 8 and go through the moorings until you are off the yacht club docks, from there proceed left to the floating red office and fuel dock
