McNab’s Island, Lawlor’s Island, and the outer reaches of Halifax Harbour are all within easy reach.Shearwater’s sailors range in age from toddlers to “old salts” in their 80s, all keen to enjoy the thrill and magic of sails and the sea. You do not need to own a boat to become a member of Shearwater Yacht Club. You can enjoy all the amenities the club has to offer, including sailing, cruising, and social functions, by being a social member or crewing on someone else’s boat. Guest dock is on the closest dock towards the club house. The outside dock can provide space for large beam boats. Visitors shall be accommodated for two nights yearly without charge.
