SNSYC was founded in 1981 by a group of individuals interested in boating. From the outset it was friendly and unpretentious, providing an affordable and accessible club serving the powerboat and sailboat communities. The club has about 660 members and a very active Junior Program. The Clubhouse is a distinctive former heritage home, providing club members with a casual atmosphere, with a full service bar and dining room for members, guests, and reciprocal yacht club members. Our reciprocal dock is located at North Saanich Marina on the west shore of Tsehum Harbour.

Reciprocal dock is the first dock you see as you enter the west basin. There’s a wide spot on the floating dock where the club’s junior sailboats are stored. The reciprocal moorage is on the west side of that dock. There’s about 150 feet of space. The registration information is in a box on the side of the junior sailing building which is adjacent to the stored boats. If you plan to go ashore then you need to go up to the bar to get a key because the area is behind a gate. There’s a drop box for the key when you leave.
