Mantazas Pass Channel between Channel Marker 27 and 29. Attention deep draft boats, high tide is the best but it is doable at low tide with a 5 foot draft. As you approach from the north, you pass under the big bridge at the Coast Guard station and proceed to the end of the first mooring field. Keep to the west shore. A new channel (indicated by markers 1 and 2) will start at this point. The channel is well marked. Stay in the center of th channel. At low tide you will see a low point of 5.5 feet between markers 4 and 6. Around markers 17 – 19 there will be a point of land to your starboard (west) side, keep clear of the point, favor the greens. As soon as you get past the point favor the shore (get away from the greens) very shallow out there. Stay close to shore all the way to the marina at marker 24
