From the ICW marker R38 head 225 magnetic toward a temporary buoy R2 that marks the start of the Roosevelt Channel. The channel carries 6 – 8 feet of depth at least as far as Tween Waters, and will be slightly deeper with a northerly wind. Vessels drawing more than 4-feet, 6-inches should be wary of tide swings. You may sit on the bottom inside the main dock, but there is plenty of water on the outside long dock for boats with 6-foot drafts. Deep draft vessels should not try to get in (or out) at low tide. A boat drawing 5-feet reported hitting the bottom at the start of the marked channel coming off the ICW
