Circa 1958 and just a few short years after Hemmingway wrote The Old Man and the Sea , Vero Marine Center started “Serving Boaters on the Waterfront” when Bob Chesborough opened the business. Family-owned and -operated since its beginning and still at the same location, Vero Marine Center was acquired by Bruce and Jackie MacIntyre in 1977.
