Join the 12th Annual Bakken Classic Fishing Derby
Are you ready for an exciting adventure on the water? The 12th Annual Bakken Classic Fishing Derby is just around the corner. Set for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, this charity fishing tournament will take place at the scenic Four Bears Casino and Marina located in New Town, North Dakota. By participating, you’ll not only enjoy a day of fishing but also support the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation’s important conservation efforts and various community programs.
How Does the Tournament Work?
The event welcomes 100 three-person teams, all competing for fantastic prizes while contributing to conservation projects that enhance habitat, wildlife, and outdoor access throughout North Dakota. The tournament is organized into two launching flights to ensure a smooth experience:
• Flight One: Boats 1-50 will launch at 7:30 a.m.
• Flight Two: Boats 51-100 will launch at 8:00 a.m.
Each angler is permitted to fish with two rods, targeting walleye, sauger, or saugeye, with a required minimum length of 14 inches. After a day of fishing, the weigh-in will kick off at 2:00 p.m., followed by a lively social gathering at 3:30 p.m. Be sure to stick around for the door prize drawings around 5:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony set to begin at approximately 5:15 p.m.
