End date

Event details

The Ameribration Parade moves down 5th Avenue in Calvert City at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and takes about 90 minutes to do what a small-town July 4 parade does best: floats draped in red, white, and blue; classic cars moving at a walking pace; golf carts with children waving flags; community groups and local organizations who have been practicing their routes since Memorial Day. Admission is free. The sidewalks fill quickly.

The Parade’s Place in the Day
The Ameribration schedule is designed to build. The morning cornhole tournament and park activities give way to the 6 p.m. parade, which then passes the baton to the Doctor’s Park fireworks finale at 9 p.m. The parade is the transition point, and it works best if you are already in town and moving through the day rather than arriving cold for a single event.

Positioning Yourself Well
Stake out a spot along 5th Avenue before 5:30 p.m. The shaded stretches along the route go first. Families with strollers will find the sidewalk wide enough along most of the corridor, and the pace of a small-town parade leaves enough time between floats for kids to run out and collect candy tossed from passing vehicles.

Local Knowledge
The Kenlake Marina area along Kentucky Lake, about 20 minutes north near Hardin, is worth an afternoon stop before the parade begins. The shoreline there is open, the marina atmosphere is relaxed, and it gives the July 4 day a proper water chapter before returning to Calvert City for the evening program.

Logistics
Free admission. Route along 5th Avenue, Calvert City. Parade begins at 6 p.m. and concludes by approximately 7:30 p.m. Street parking throughout the Calvert City corridor; arrive before 5 p.m. for the best viewing positions.
