Through Labor Day weekend 2025, Banner Elk and nearby Sugar Mountain, NC welcome hikers on the Appalachian Trail, pick-your-own blueberries at local farms, and enjoy summer festival vibes in downtown Banner Elk. Sugar Mountain Resort may host a small fireworks display Saturday night at 9 PM. Scenic chairlift and tubing hill open for summer fun. Local breweries and distilleries offer tastings and live music in beer gardens.
