Craft beer weekend parties at Deerhurst Resort
Sip Ontario craft beer at Deerhurst’s Beerhurst festival, then round out your Muskoka weekend with trails, spa time, and cozy resort dining.
Event details
Deerhurst Resort trades its usual refined atmosphere for “Draft Weekend” energy March 6-8, 2026, when the 6th annual Beerhurst-at-Deerhurst Craft Beer Festival transforms the Peninsula Lake property into Muskoka’s premier craft beer celebration. This year’s sports-themed edition encourages guests to rep favorite team jerseys while sampling from 6+ Ontario breweries including Trestle Brewing Company, Quayle’s Brewery, Thornbury Craft Co., Blue Mountain Brewing Co., Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery, and Boshkung Brewing Co., with additional brewers to be announced.
The weekend builds strategically: Friday’s Welcome Party eases guests into festival mode with live entertainment and fan-zone atmosphere, followed by Saturday afternoon’s Beer Skate on Deerhurst’s refrigerated rink—a distinctly Canadian experience pairing skating with craft beer sampling. The main event, Saturday’s Beerhurst Festival (7-10:30 PM), features brewer meet-and-greets, festival food, and unlimited sampling with your souvenir glass, culminating in The Blue Stones live concert (9-10:30 PM). This JUNO Award-nominated rock duo delivers explosive energy from their third album “Pretty Monster,” with crowd favorites like “Shakin’ Off the Rust” and “Pretty Monster.”
The Two-Night Draft Weekend Package includes accommodations, two “Brews & Bites” tasting tickets per adult, souvenir sampling glass, Friday Welcome Party access, Saturday Beer Skate admission, full festival entry, and concert access—essentially an all-inclusive weekend. Day passes and individual event tickets also available at deerhurstresort.com. Founded in 1896, Deerhurst spans 760 acres on Peninsula Lake, with winter activities extending beyond Beerhurst: the Maple Lawn Ice Rink, 250-metre waterfront skating trail (weather permitting), cross-country ski trails, and snowshoe paths provide daytime options. On-site dining at Drift Kitchen + Bar emphasizes locally-sourced Canadian cuisine, while Maple Pub & Patio and Compass Grill & Lounge offer casual alternatives. For an exceptional pre-festival dinner, drive 15 minutes to 3 Guys and a Stove (143 Highway 60 East, Huntsville), a 15+ year institution serving upscale comfort food in a log cabin with glowing fireplace—their Caribbean and Southeast Asian-influenced menu includes 12+ vegetarian options.
Beerhurst represents shoulder-season Muskoka at its best: resort amenities, craft beer culture, live music, and the relaxed atmosphere of cottage country without summer’s crowds. It’s part beer festival, part resort weekend, entirely Muskoka.
