Craft beer and cider tasting by the waterfront
Taste beers and ciders in McEuen Park with food vendors, yard games, and live music—an easy, sunny hangout steps from the lake.
Event details
McEuen Park transforms into a lakefront tasting room each August, when Brewfest brings 40+ regional breweries and cideries to Coeur d’Alene for an afternoon of samples, live music, and waterfront lawn seating with direct views over Lake Coeur d’Alene. Your ticket includes a tasting glass and access to 4-ounce pours from craft producers across the Pacific Northwest, plus food trucks, yard games, and multiple music stages running simultaneously.
The event runs 1-6 p.m. on a Saturday in mid-August, with peak crowds hitting between 2-4 p.m. Arrive early for shorter pour lines and prime lakeside lawn space (bring a blanket or low-back chair). August temperatures typically reach 80-90°F, so hydrate between tastings, seek shade under the park’s mature trees, and plan for strong afternoon sun. General admission tickets sell out within a week, and VIP early-entry passes (noon start) go even faster.
Make it a lake weekend by staying at a property with dock access through Lake.com, then balance beer tasting with active recovery: rent stand-up paddleboards Sunday morning from one of the downtown outfitters, or take the boat out to Higgens Point for swimming in deeper, cooler water. Finish Saturday evening with dinner at Crafted Tap House & Kitchen (opened 2014) or Dockside Restaurant (established 1996), both within walking distance of your likely parking spot.
