Join us on Saturday, July 19, 2026, for the Broadwater Rod & Gun Club Walleye Derby, a cherished annual fishing tournament held on the serene waters of Canyon Ferry Lake near Townsend, Montana. This event invites anglers of all ages and skill levels to experience the thrill of fishing amidst breathtaking natural beauty. The day promises friendly competition, camaraderie, and the joy of connecting with nature.
The derby features three team categories: female/female, male/female, and adult/child (17 & under), each with cash prizes. Participants can have up to five people in a boat, but only two may fish at any given time. The tournament employs a catch-and-release format, but each entrant can keep one fish for the purpose of trophies, ensuring that both competitiveness and conservation principles are upheld. A mandatory pre-tournament rules meeting will be held on Friday, July 18, 2026, at 7 PM at the Broadwater Rod & Gun Club indoor shooting range at 96 Canton Lane, Townsend, MT.
