The Floathouse Fireworks Paddle, returning for its 2nd annual celebration on July 4, 2025, offers a front-row seat to the city’s fireworks display—from the deck of a people-powered boat.

Boats launch from The Floathouse, located along the Petaluma River Promenade at River Plaza, just steps from local favorites like The Shuckery, Della Fattoria Café, and Taps Beer Company. Participants will paddle in a flotilla of kayaks, pedal boats, and canoes, gently making their way upriver to prime viewing locations for Petaluma’s fireworks display.
The event concludes with the grand finale reflected on the river—an unforgettable dual spectacle in the sky and on the water.

Petaluma is located along Highway 101, just 40 minutes north of San Francisco and 20 minutes south of Santa Rosa. Attendees flying in can use Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) or Oakland International Airport (OAK) for broader access. On event day, free downtown parking is available near the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum and along Water Street, though guests are encouraged to arrive early and explore the riverfront area before launch.
