Event details

Kegs & Kickstands is your self-paced ride through Kellogg and the Silver Valley over Memorial Day weekend, and a highlight of the Silver Valley Chamber’s Bike Month. You follow a marked route through town with quick stops at local businesses, where you can pick up stamps or swag while taking in Northern Idaho’s mountain backdrop. It is built for a slow roll with friends, couples, and families, with plenty of time to browse between pedal strokes.

You start at 10 E Station Avenue. Plan to arrive by 12:15 PM for check-in and your route map, then roll out at 12:30 PM. Park in the free public lots near the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes trailhead for easy access at the beginning and the end. Any well-maintained bike works for this in-town route, with cruisers and mountain bikes most common.

As you work your way through Kellogg’s historic streets, you set your own pace and build in stops for shops and tasting stations. The route wraps at Radio Brewing Company, where the ride gives way to a backyard-style finish with barbecue and craft beer. The event is open to all ages, but the final stretch at the brewery tends to draw a strong 21-and-over crowd.

Dress for shifting mountain weather with comfortable cycling gear and layers, and bring a small backpack or pannier for what you collect along the way. Light rain usually does not stop the ride, but check with the Silver Valley Chamber for day-of updates. Registration is required, so confirm details in advance to secure your entry and meal ticket. If you are staying overnight, book in central Kellogg or near the Silver Mountain Resort base for the simplest logistics, or choose a cabin or rental elsewhere in the Silver Valley for a quieter base.
