Lakefest at Lake Anna

Lakefest returns to the Lake Anna Taphouse at 208 Lake Front Drive in Mineral, Virginia, for its annual mid-May gathering. The event runs on a Saturday in mid-May beginning at noon, extending into the evening as the lake light drops over the water behind the stage. Mineral, the nearest town to the Taphouse, gained unexpected national attention after the 2011 Mineral earthquake, a 5.8-magnitude event centered directly beneath the town that was felt along much of the Eastern Seaboard. The town’s small commercial district on Main Street has several casual dining and local business options. The Lake Anna Winery on Courthouse Road, a 10-minute drive from the Taphouse, is the other major waterfront destination in the area and hosts its own events through the spring and summer season.
