Sister Bay’s MarinaFest Lights Up Labor Day Weekend
Waterfront festival with live music, food vendors & nightly marina fireworks
Event details
What Is MarinaFest in Sister Bay?
MarinaFest is Sister Bay, Wisconsin’s premier end-of-summer waterfront festival, drawing roughly 15,000 visitors over two nights on Lake Michigan. Held August 30–31, 2025 along Dewey Drive and Sister Bay Marina, this celebration features live concerts on floating stages, local craft vendors, and family-friendly activities. As twilight falls, a 10-minute fireworks display rockets from barges on the bay, creating a kaleidoscope of color reflected in the water. “MarinaFest really captures the spirit of Door County,” explains local artist Jenna Larson, whose jewelry booth overlooks the marina.
How Can You Experience Waterfront Concerts & Fireworks?
- Ready to plan your perfect lakeside weekend? Here’s how we recommend you dive in:
- Prime Viewing Spots: Claim a blanket or folding chair along the marina seawall by 6 PM. The public pier offers unobstructed views of both bands and fireworks.
- Live Music Lineup: Enjoy regional favorites on two stages—folk duos, blues quartets and family dance bands—running from 5–9 PM each night.
- Local Flavors: Sample Door County fish boils, artisan cheeses and craft brews from waterfront food trucks.
Quick Tips:
• Parking Alternatives: Use the free trolley from downtown Sister Bay or park at the YMCA lot for a short walk.
• Weather Prep: Lake breezes can be cool after sunset—bring a light jacket.
